Twitching wipers when they are turned off?
I have a 320i e36 just last week i notice my wiper were turning on sluggishly, didnít really care for it at the time since they were doing their jobs. But just 3 days ago they started twitching whenever the wipers are switched off at the bottom position. They eventually will stop twitching around 30 seconds or so.
I just wanted to see if anyone here might know whats wrong with my wipers or even a fix.
is your car a touring model?maybe it has "tour"ettes.lol
sorry i couldn't resist.*drink*
I got the twitching problem after I brought my car in for repairs at a transmission shop. Apparently, they tried to use my wipers to clear accumulated snow off the windshield which broke my wiper linkage. That was 3 years ago. I replaced it with used parts which lasted 2 years. Last year, I got really slow wiping action and it eventually stopped completely due to joint seizure. Not good in the winter time. So I replaced it yet again with another used part. If this one fails again, I'll splurge for the $4-500 it costs for brand new ones from the $tealer
BTW, you can't tell if the joint is seized until you remove the whole assembly from the car. It's not a fun job.
