Is it the 328 or 330 you're looking at? Are you buying from a dealer or private?
|
Not a BMW dealer but a dealer....328Xi 2008 coupe....priced between $25000-30,000....is the X drive reliable..any major issues with this model and year?....
|
I've got 150K on my X3, I know its different but I have not had any trouble with my xdrive.
I see you're in TO, do you really need xdrive? I actually commute Barrie to Markham and I was considering just a 328i and putting winter tires on it. The X3 is my wife's, we have a small cottage up north, that's why the X3. The 328i would be my DD. |

Never heard of this and never had an issue with my xi ( now has 144k on it ). In fact the tires ( summer and winter ) last just as long as when I had a rwd bimmer. |
Xdrive system destroying tires..news to me...if this is true...
it would be in most forums.. |
My mistake reading the other BMW forums more carefully it was the stock run flat tires that was the problem...my next car a 2007 or 2008 ALpine white 328XI coupe......

I have a 335xi, its awesome. You can have lots of fun with it in winter (donuts & drifting) with the DSC/DTC off. You can even turn off the AWD system by pulling a specific fuse but I wouldn't recommend it nor have I done it, I just know its possible.
