CF hood local source?
My hood has seen better days so it's gotta go away - figure I'd go with a carbon fibre or fiberglass replacement - don't want to pay hundreds in S&H from the States so does anyone local sell aftermarket hoods for the E36?
Anyone here have an AM hood? Thoughts? |
i see on toronto kijiji some guy selling carbon hoods. maybe take a look at that as a possibility.

You can get a new metal hood for around $300. You'll have to paint it of course. No source for composite of any kind locally, and everyone else will be ordering it from the US. Count on at least 800 or so shipped.

The ad mentions its for a 2 door. OP has a sedan. |
They are interchangeable. Some of the interior is different, and the doors (obvi) but the rest of it is generally the same.
EDIT: NO, they are not interchangeable. I was thinking it was E30. Mai bad boyz. |
e36 sedan/ti hood will not fit coupe

Ok so where locally can I source a rust free hood for low $$ ?

Aftermarket works just fine for me, as long as the edges are curled, and not just cut, the latch hardware is pre-installed, it sits straight, and ain't too expensive then I'd sure like to hear what you have to say

Good to know! I know it's ok for Muscle Cars, but this is my first 'import' so I dunno your Fast and Furious rules ;-p
