Catalytic Coverter replacement -

Just got off E38 .org and my heads spinning ! need cats and I'm tempted to grab the magnaflow 94105's but I'm not sure if I should get the Ca's or not. Anyone done this? Any constructive input appreciated !

Without cats you'll fail your etest, and you could also get a ticket from cops.

just a heads up.

I am definitely getting cats ( sorry I wasn't clear) . I just need to know what aftermarket ones work . And which magnaflow model works best on a 740 iL.

Most E38 guys that have done the Magnaflow mod have gone with the Magnaflow 14816.

Here is a link to an install done recently:

Thanks guys !! kept the same mufflers and just installed the 94105 cats today. I'll E-test again monday and post both sheets so you can see the difference. Got the cats installed at A&A exhaust in Stoney Creek for around $250 .
Gonna drive the wheels off her this weekend to break the cats in and "de-carbonize" the engine.
