E30 steering wheel into an E36

Hey,

If I wanted to take a steering wheel (momo) off an e30 and put it on an e36, where could I run into problems?

Thanks,

Flaviu

there shouldnt be a problem. i dont think the wheels are car specific. the hub on the underhand...not the same!

So then what's the business of slip-rings and such? Is that only a concern when airbags are involved?

So I just take off the e36 stock wheel, disconnect airbag, bolt up the momo? And if I end up doing this, anyone got a cheapo stock steering wheel?

Just make sure the spines are compatible.

Short answer... No.. The E36 spline is much larger than the E30 one.

Is it possible, yes. You need a E36 hub (which I have for sale)
