Swapping lowering springs 540 to 525i
 

Hi All,

I have searched a lot but could not find a conclusive answer. I have lying around in my garage a set of front 2 H&R race which were installed on my 540i. I recently picked up a low mileage 525i and it has a nasty gap between the front fender and the tires. I was wondering if the springs would fit the 525i shocks? I may run this is a temporary set up if it does.

Let me know please ! I do not wana go through the pain of pulling them out and finding out that they do not fit.

Pull a wheel of and compare, I have switched springs between 530 and 540 and 540 to M5 all e39 chassis. I know the shocks are more HD on the bigger motor car.

I tried and it worked! All the bolt on points are the same. Car sits nice and low with the V8 struts and H&R race springs.

I also have H & R race springs I love them, much better the eibachs,

Will there be any difference if I put (E39) M5 front springs on my 540 msport? Just wondering??
