Picked up a 2002 E39 530i, manual, sport package with about 150,xxx kms from Toronto.

Looking good so far!

Just a quick wash and wax, also polished the headlights a bit. The paint is
Black Sapphire Metallic.

Front bumper is chipped quite a bit, so I didn't bother waxing it to avoid
fish eye problems later when I repaint it.


Headlights: Meguaire's Solo yellow wool pad with Meguair's PlasticX, then followed by yellow foam pad and Presta Polish.

Before (driver's side) after (passenger side). They would probably look better if I sprayed UV clearcoat over them.

The body is clean, but there is a dent just below the trunk, will fix it probably next year.

Yeah, your job looks stellar, and I haven't done mine since last year since I was hoping to have the rust fixed by now, then I'd give it a good summer detail. But based on the quote I got for the body work, that might not be an option now.
