Got rid of my 03 C32 AMG and bought a 03 540i 6sp M-pack!
 

As the title says...

I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the C32*thmbsdwn*. It's all Zarbat's fault for recomenneding it *mumble*. I have to say, however, that the the acceleration on the C32 is unbelievable. I'll write a review later this week comparing the C32 with my 03 Auto M-pak 540i.

On now to the new car. It's a 2003, 6sp, M-pack 540i, sterling gray with all the goodies including the sunshades. Has only 91Km and in impecable shape:cool:. The car can be seen here:

I'll be driving my auto 540i over the winter and keep this one for sunny days.

I have a question...I need to take the car Monday for a full inspection. Where can I take it? I don't want to go to a BMW dealership. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Great choice. That colour and option combo on the 2003 540i is one of my all time fave BMW's.

Cool! So, what happened with your speeding charge? I think your court date was the 22nd?

I asked for the trial to be postponed as I was still on vacation. The funny thing is that when I called in, they didn't even have me for the 22nd. The officer never submitted the paper!

Hopefully selling the C32 will make a better case for me. I still think that if it wasn't for the C32 I wouldn't have been charged.

Beautiful car. That's by far my favorite color combo.

For the inspection are you just looking to get it safetied as easily as possible, or do you actually want a really thorough list of things that need work/replacement etc? If it's the latter, then go to Duss brothers. He will give you a really detailed breakdown of even the smallest issues. If you're just getting a safety, then don't go there, because he will get you to fix even the smallest issues before he safeties it. :D

If you are just looking for a safety, go talk to Ralph (service manager) at Canadian Tire on Carling.

I know the stigma of CT, but Ralph is a racer and huge sponsor for the Motorsports Club of Ottawa and knows bimmers very well. He'll hook you up.

What I liked about the C32 was the acceleration and the speedshift.

The main dislikes are an overall feel of cheapness and poor handling (when compared to cars in its class).
