Best battery?
So my battery's officially dead.

What do you guys recommend for a replacement?

Best place to buy it?

Partsouce has a $100 battery. Other than OEM ($200?), it was the only one I could find 4 years ago.

that would be the Optima yellow Top, you can get one from Costco for around $200, had one in my E39 with no problems, even when the car sat for a month, started right up first try*th-up*

+1 on Optima's - I've got red tops in everything I own - Walmart has them for about $200. I won't buy anything else (I've got 4 of these batteries in various cars) They're great for winter cold cranking and they're great if your car sits for a while.

My $0.02

OEM and i've lived in Ab for the past 2 years ( including two -40 winters) never plugged my care in; partly because it had no block heaters, but the battery never failed me during those 2 winters
