paintscratch.com alternative in Ontario/Canada?
Looking to order some touch-up Alpinweiss (Alpine White) II paint but don't want to have to pay duty/brokerage on it so would like to order local. London would be awesome, but GTA/Ontario would be fine.

I got paint mixed up at Carquest Paints http://maps.google.ca/maps?oe=utf-8&...4&z=15&iwloc=B
They'll do rattle can/quarts/gallons, and they've got everything you need - sand paper, masking tape, gloves, primer, reducer, hardener, clear, etc. There are 2 types of Car Quest though.... parts and paint - you'll need to find one that does paint. Not sure if there'd be one down your way, but there's gotta be some sort of auto paint store down there. |
Right forgot about those guys. How was the colour match?
|
They mix it up to original specs, so it's only dependant on how faded your car is. Not sure if they have any way to match what your car looks like, but I never asked - not too much of a concern to me.

If you have a kind dealer and don't mind paying, most BMW dealer paint shops have a device that analyses the current paint color to match it. You might be able to get them to sell you a quart. I took in my gas filler door and they painted my fenders, etc, to a high degree of match.
