Chip Question....
 

I recently bought a bunch of parts for my 325 including 19lb injectors and an m30 afm. The chip that came with it was from a 2.7 stroker motor. Will that chip work in my 2.5? Will it level itself out?

Will it work, probably. Will it work well? Probably not. The chip is designed to tweak the last bit of performance out of the motor. If it was well designed for a 2.7i conversion, you won't see any benefits if you put it in a slightly wrong motor. In fact, I'd wager you're more likely to see a loss of power at some RPM ranges.

Call me Mr. Skeptical, but I don't see how a chip made for a 2.7i conversion would be beneficial in a 2.5L. But I'm wrong many times a day. :D

it was the chip that he had tuned while the m30 afm and 19lb injectors were in..... i messaged him back about it but hasnt returned the message yet... i also bought the headers and a full exhaust for a steal, so i'm not really worried if this chip doesn't work out.

Is it a genuine MarkD chip?

Yes it is. He said he went there and mark plugged in his laptop and voila lol.

Why not send Mark a pm and ask him. He's a good guy and would know what it would work on.
