maranellobmw thumps up

Went into Maranello and met Mike.
really cool guy and very honest

He saved me a bundle today.
i'm very excited about this and hope you stick around for awhile.

Who else has already taken advantage of this.. ??

lol i know i'm gonna be walking into that place many times..
i love seeing that white m3 by the parts desk

I'm curious did the bundle of savings equate to purchasing from US dealer?

the markup in Canadian dealers is obscene! i've been eying a few parts...but I can't ship up from US and the local dealers are way way overpriced.

Another BM 02-19-2010 10:53 PM

i did the math and he beat every online price after you just factor in the shipping.

i have no idea what the brokerage and taxes would be on the part after it comes to Canada..

RMPMOTORS 02-19-2010 10:55 PM

What did you buy?

Another BM 02-19-2010 11:00 PM

grrr that damn pesky rear abs/speed sensor. or in my case a pulse generator.
wtf is the difference between those rocco.?

either way he saved me over $100

RMPMOTORS 02-19-2010 11:25 PM

The speed sensor is a pulse generator! LOL

How much was it at the dealer?

slemmer 02-20-2010 04:07 AM

oh well that makes me feel kinda retarded..
i originally ordered an abs sensor from bimmerspecialist.com but after i gave them my vin they informed me they did not have the right part i needed and gave me a part number.. The only website that had one was esctuning.com (those guys got almost everything) and they called it a pulse generator so different name made me think it did something different.. meh w/e

The dealer originally wanted 297 + tax
Mike hooked it up

Part number 34526752683(auto)/34526752702(manual)?

Realoem lists this item for 168$ USD.

The auto one is on ebay for 30$
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-A...Q5fAccessories

Didn't look for the manual

Another BM 02-20-2010 03:18 PM

according to my vin i needed part number 34521166126

and i dont trust ebay for stuff like sensors.. i'm not gonna risk my life for a couple of bucks... who knows the quality of that sensor.

propr'one 02-20-2010 10:17 PM

why don't you just post how much you paid?

1bmw1 02-20-2010 10:42 PM

This is good news! Glad to hear everything went smoothly. I'm waiting on the tire pricing.*th-up*
