Crossing over

Finally crossed the barrier of 200,000 kms the other day. And what happens? Check engine light. Perhaps it's trying to tell me something?

lulz

Congrats! I'll send a sympathy card for your wallet.

I think I got out of the E39 game just in time. I mean that in the most sympathetic, nicest way.

chromius 01-15-2010 01:11 PM

Yeah, that's where my big wave of problems started. It only took another 50,000km for them to get ironed out*shiner*, so I should be good for another 50k until the 300k wave hits :D

everlast 01-15-2010 01:13 PM

I looked up the schedule:

Wave 7 - 200,000 kilometres
Wave 8, 9, 10, 11 - optionally every 6100 kilometres
Wave 12 - 255,000 kilometres

:D

I don't like your schedule, cuz that means I'm do for another in 5,000km:P

Geez, I just hit 163k yesterday. Mine's still a young pup. With creaking and clunking suspension...

If it's a BMW digital display, it'll be missing pixels the day you take it home. I hate you OBC *shakes fist*

everlast 01-15-2010 05:59 PM

HAHAH.. You're next service is due in 1HL07 kms.

ecuconnection 01-15-2010 06:03 PM

hehe!

I don't know what all the mystery is about. My high-mileage 540i lets me know when it needs parts - like when I drive it hard the fan grenades, or turn-in while braking the front bushings remind me it's their service interval, or the self tapping screws holding the rear windows up on their tracks, or the high number of structural zip ties in the lights & underbody shields, or ...

I'm going to stop there, I'm getting sad.

chromius 01-16-2010 11:57 AM

This seemed fitting hehe.
From the 5er section...

ecuconnection 01-16-2010 12:03 PM
