My e36 325i project
43 Attachment(s)
Started with a stock 325i that was owned by a local older man. He had just replaced the transmission and didn't even know what posi was. Upon getting the build sheet we found it had the "m sport suspension" the "loud audio" system and the sport 25% LSD rear end :D It has the 5-speed standard transmission.
Sorry no before photo, but when i arrived to work on it my dad had began ripping it apart. My dad runs a body shop so we did all of the work ourselves.

We took the mouldings off, and painted every visible part. Handles, side skirts, bumpers. We also put koni's all around, got brand new cross drilled rotors and calipers. The BMW name plates i got new black and white carbon fibre ones and also got BMW badges for the headrests.

The colour is the new 2009 BMW 7-series metalic grey, with the BMW standard black very subtle stripe.

The rims are ADR M-Sport 19x8.5. They fit perfectly and after lowering it all around sat perfectly with barely fitting a fitting a finger between the tire and fender, and not even being able to in the rear. They were the widest and largest wheels i could find and with minor grinding in the rear fit perfect. We also tipped the shock towers in on the front to give it a more negative camber for handling:) and it matches the rear and gives it a tough stance.

I also picked up smoked corner lights and the euro rear lights to cancel out the ugly orange. The stock head lights were sanded and polished to be more clear brighter, and painted black along the top line to give it a tougher "angry" look.

I know it looks dirty, i took it around the block to get all the drips and with the wider wheels it sprays along the bumper very easily. And the other BMW is my dads 2000 M5 that he bought wrecked and fixed, and the Mustang is my brothers that he had just put rims on. It has the 4.6L 5-speed with flowmasters, not bad for a 16 year old. The whole family has to have posi though :)

Anyways lemme know what you think. Thanks
p.s. I'm only 18 and this is my third car but my first ultimate driving machine.

Looks like it was really well done!

You really should invest in a digital camera to show off your dad's work. I'm sure the car looks 100x better in person.

Why did they not take off the door handles when painting the car?

blk325i 08-06-2010 05:26 PM

first, nice paint job
second, brembo caliper covers are gay
third, your old man's whip looks like a 530 or 540 m package with quad tips and not an m5
