I have not read a good review on the "FCP Groton" stuff. They don't last long... Check bimmerforums.com -> http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...ght=FCP+Groton
When I changed mine, I only wanted "Made in Germany" and I picked up Lemforder parts. If you think about what you parts do, you don't want crap. You also don't want to have to do it again in the same year. My 2 cents. |
Thx max. Gonna get the oem lemforders. Just the tension struts though $120 each. Might as well while our $ is strong.

I would strongly advise you to stay away from the ebay no name brands. They will last you half the time the Lamfoerders, if not less.
There is alot of stress on these componets especially on the E39s. |
In the spring I picked up Bilstien (Made in Germany) control arms for about $130 each at autopartsway.ca. Bimmerspecialist.ca has Lemforder for $160ish.
Tension struts: $150 at bimmerspecialist.ca for Lemforder $190 at autopartsway.ca for TRWs If you are in the US, Rockauto.com has thrust arms for $57 made by RAYBESTOS. |
