These pics are epic. The hood up looks unreal, and the other you can see the purple light everywhere as lightening struck while the camera was taking the picture.

*love*

If you can believe it, I took these without a tripod.. The first one (which I wish would have come out better due to the luck of the lightening striking) is the worst as I jumped when the lightening flashed, but the rest are just me holding the cam. It takes 30 pics in succession in one second then aligns them and creates one final image. Pretty cool.

Have one, just didn't bring it. The "night shot mode" is good enough that I will probably not want to lug around a tripod everywhere.

Love the hood shot.

Good pics for a P&S. Built in image stabillization? What's the highest ISO seting?

Lee in Ottawa 10-04-2009 09:33 PM

all I can see is the dent in the hood

everlast 10-04-2009 10:29 PM

Lee, you're an asshole. It's like you're TRYING TO MAKE ME HATE YOU. It won't work, ur my bff.

Joe, night mode takes 30 fullres high speed shutter shots and overlays them to avoid blurring. It also has a servo that moves the lens in response to motion. ISO ranges from 100 to 1600.

Looks to be a crater on the passenger side by the kidney grill.

ScotcH 10-05-2009 12:37 PM

Passanger side, right above the high beam ... about 6" long dent, or repair :P

Great pics though ... nice composition!

everlast 10-05-2009 12:40 PM

hehe, damn you guys. we only noticed the dent while taking that shot.. it must be recent, probably from some fatass sitting on the edge of the car. I will get a pdr guy to go over the car this winter, so that should be an easy one.
