Question about selling tires for 530 xit
Last year I had a heck of a time finding snows on rims for my '06 530 xit (premium & sports package)>
This year, car is gone and I would like to sell the tires and rims. I would appreciate your help and suggestions how to do this. I was really in a bind trying to find them. Now I need to sell them. Regards, Dave Lynch Toronto |
Tire brand / model / spec information would be helpful.

I was concerned that I might violate forum rules...
The rims and tires are from the BMW winter tire package. They're mags. 5 spoke. offset is proper for the 4 wheel drive 530 xit wagon. (The offset is critical; 2 wheel rims didn't fit our car, and look was same. Offset was the only difference.) Excellent condition. The tires are Dunlop--they're downstairs in the basement. They're the winter sport M3 model. Excellent=-=I've been a ski instructor for 35 years and enjoy winter driving. Have used most makes of tires. I need to check the size. They're the stock 17" width/size for the wagon. thanks, DaveL Toronto |
FYI: The E39 requires wheels that have the hub diameter to be 74mm... I'm not sure what hub size the new models have.

I should have said that the rims fit the four wheel drive 5 series, and that ours was a 2006.
They were bought from BMW Canada and are the factory fit mags for the car with runflat tires. The offset is different than the rear wheel drive cars. We did try a package from a rear wheel drive 5 series; the ride was terrible,so that was my experience. Summary--rims for a 4 wheel drive 5 series, in excellent shape; tires are runflat Dunlop M3's with lots of tread. regards, DaveL |
We sold the tires and rims. Found a great new owner that had the same car!
