chevy power in 5 series
What do you guys think.. a 60's chevy 350 400 hp V8 in a 1990 535 body..
I can get the motor for really cheap.. and it would be a fun toy for about 15 grand total cost. would you do it or am I insane? I would put it in my 318 but i don't think i can get a wide enough tire on my car to keep it on the ground Ryan |
It would be a really different kind of mod
I don't think I would do it |
Please don't. Pushrods aren't allowed in BMWs!
Really though I think it would be more fun to build up the m30 engine and keep the balance of the car intact. |
Ryan,
What's with you and these hair-brain ideas? Man, you sound either really despirate for attention, or looking for the cheapest way to make HP (NO SUCH THING!!!.) Just save up a little longer and DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!!! For real. Give it up. Randy |
ok.. maybe a 305 would be a better idea.. bore it out to 318
318ic ummm that's "inches cubed" not convertible ahahha |
like whoa..
something I wouldnt do.. but hey, theres a first for everything...
ppl laughed at me when I said I wanted to put a mazda rotary engine into a 2001 honda accord coupe.. bi-turbos...*devil* and rebuild the chassis to make it rwd...*th-up* hey I can dream cant i?:D |
Augh, I cant believe you wanna do that to my car? J/K
S62 engine in E34.. :P Dont mess! *uzi* |
Gamite maybe an E34 like yours would be a better platform for me to use. I'm sure i could fit a big block under that hood and I could easly run a 9.5 inch wide wheel.. lots of traction!!
hmmmm new twist to my madness |
Isnt that what you were originally thinking? 1990 535? Thats an E34.
|
i would do it for the horsepower but i wouldn't do it if it is not a BMW engine.
|
true true.. maybe i'll just get rims for now.. that should hold me off for a bit
All show.. no GO! |
