Resonators removed

So I got my resonators cut out today.

Started it up, sounded great. Really raspy.

But...as soon as you drive around a while and everything gets warmed up, it sounds almost the same as with the resonators. Kind of annoying.

Whats the reason behind this? Cats or Muffler? I don't know.

Throw a Magnaflow muffler on there and enjoy

Have a remus already haha

But Remus are known to be on the quite side from what I hear.
When I had my E46 I cut the resonator and thought I'd get sound. Nothing, nada, zilch. I bought a Magnaflow muffler and it transformed the car.

I have a Remus too and it probably is the quietest performance cat back out there. The Supersprint that was on the car previously produced more off-throttle burble and made better hp from midrange on up. The Supersprint was straight thru (I cut it open), but the Remus isn't (flashlight inspection).

If you want more sound, try aftermarket cats. Apparently, the OEM cats are very quiet. I'm going to do it eventually since the OBD-I Y design is somewhat restrictive.

^^ I'll take your remus when you do that. :)
