Anyone have wheel bearing tools?
Just wondering if anyone around has the SIR tools (or other) rear wheel bearing remove/install tool for BMWs.
My E34 needs the rear wheel bearings done and I'm trying to figure out if I can borrow the tool or if I have to spend the ridiculous amount of money to buy it. |
I rented the tool at canadiantire for free (slide hammer) it was totaly useless and much easyer to pull the whole arm off and pound it out with a sledge and correct size socket

I have to change my front right wheel bearing! I already have the part. I got quoted at DUSS Brothers on Wellingston St for 150$ with tax if everything goes well! Basically an hr and a half.
My appointment is tomorrow, unless somone can tell me a better way to go about... |
As far as I know, front wheel bearings aren't too bad, but rear ones are a bitch. That's why you need the special tools for the rear ones.
