It essentially has every single option except for the auto tranny. That was like $10k worth of stuff when the car was new.

Mods I've done since last September:

M52B28 (E36 328) motor swap (full OBDII system retained)
E36 OBDII headers
E36 OBDII cats
E36 OBDII rear piping
E46 muffler (offset inlet for proper placement)
Full fuel pressure sensor retrofit (massive full day job, to keep the check light off)
New Sachs clutch kit
3.73 LSD
E36 M3 shift lever
4300K HIDs

Maintenance:

Brake pads and rotors front and rear
Camshaft sensor
Fuel pump
Spark plugs
Rear shocks (Bilstein HD)
Rear shock mounts
Fluids changed (coolant, transmission, diff)

Each and every detail touched on the car done by Bimmersport Automotive, for the record.

The car ran a 14.3 @ 97mph when I took to Cayuga in April. This makes it barely slower than an E36 M3 and about equal with an E46/E90 330. This is a VERY quick car, and is ridiculously fun to drive. If you come to drive it, you WILL buy it.

All it needs to get it on the road is a new windshield, as it has a small crack just out of the visible section. You barely see it while driving, but you'll probably need it for a legit safety. Otherwise, I just titled it in September and put less than 9k on it. It's ready for the road. There is some rust at the rear edge of each rear quarter panel, this is a Canadian daily driver.

The interior is particularly mint, and every feature inside works as new. Even the OBC, heated seats, and CD changer all function properly. No blown speakers, either.

I'd love to keep it, but real estate priority prevails. Asking $6200 (now $5900!) or best offer with the stock wheels, a bit more if you want the M Contours.

Thanks.

Nice! I love ti's. What are the km's?

Mystikal 06-16-2009 10:28 AM

Good call. 229k, and the original cluster was retained during the swap (meaning no MPG gauge, but the mileage is dead on correct).

Bump, $5900 obo. I've poured over $4000 into this thing, let's see it go to a good home.

Did you have to make any mods to the original cluster to make the tach work properly? My understanding is that 4-cylinder engines have different clusters that take a different tach signal.. I know that a 6-cylinder cluster on a 4-cylinder engine will make the tach spin more than 360, just curious about the behaviour vice versa.

p.s. nice ti :)

Mystikal 06-17-2009 06:30 PM

You're absolutely correct, the tach signal is different. It makes it appear as if the rev limiter is somewhere around 10.5k. :D It does not pass 360 degrees though, so it's still perfectly usable. I of course considered the idea of throwing in a 6cyl cluster, but, to me, the mileage being consistent with the vehicle history was more important. If this bothers anyone interested in the car, I'll pick up a 6cyl cluster and throw it in for free (they're super cheap anyways).

Thanks for the compliments!

****er...Wish I had money to burn through cars like this :P

Bump.

Ac?

Skeezix 06-17-2009 11:09 PM

Is the rear differential from a 6cyl. car as well?

thinair 06-17-2009 11:55 PM

Dammit, where were you a year ago! I was looking around forever for a ti.

Yup, it's an E30 6cyl unit.

So was I. And this is an original M-technik model with the factory black headliner, crazy seats, and M bodywork. I looked on Trader, the only other Ti-M is selling for $15k or something like that. Hell this car is cheaper than the beat up base model 4cyl ones on Trader.

Bump for a good guy and a fun, quick car!

ClayMan 06-18-2009 07:21 PM

Sorry for being off-topic here, but was the tranny swapped as wel? Is it a Getrag or ZF in there, and what driveshaft was used?
