Engine Oil Question

Which oil is better for an M50 and why?

Mobil1 15w50 or Lubromoly Synthoil 5w40

It's only a summer car and the Bentley says to run 15w40 in warmer weather but I keep on reading about people running the 5w40 Lubromoly.
