E34 525I Starter Interchange?
 
So the starter went in my 1989 525I auto, if you turn the key it smokes lol...I tried tapping it with a hammer, nothing. I was wondering if the starter from my 1988 325I auto would be the same? To my understanding these cars share an engine...

my starter was about to go.. 90' 525i E34 so I was thinking ahead already

I don't know of those starters are compatible with the 325i but I went to Chuck's Auto BMW specialists for my heatercore.. cheap parts cheap labour.

They probably have it and can fix it same day. give them a shout!! just google chucks auto rexdale you'll get all the info.
