Do these petitions ever work?

Dunno, but worth a try......better than sitting on thumb doing nuthing.....

It's just like that Chris Bangle potition. Everyone signs it but nothing will change. Sucks but people with power make the rules. Maybe us MAX members should: "first you get the money, then you get the power....then you get the women." hahahaha

I doubt it - an actual pen / paper petition would probably be more effective.

I would think that online petitions have less credibility.

Is it true that before Canada changed to the metric system, speed limits on our highways was 100MPH. Anyone know this?

Doubt it highly - that's like 160 km/h. The official metric switch in Canada was made in 1971, but in 1984 imperial and metric were both made legal.

In the United States there's an organization called the National Motorists' Association. Somehow they managed to take down the US national speed limit of 55 mph in 1995. (88km/h)

Maybe we should start a Canadian Motorists' Association!
