R/C Cars

Does anyone know anything about them? I got one off a friend and was looking for a body for it but don't now how to go about finding one that fits. Another friend says its the distance between the pegs, so I measured that and its 280mm. But on HPI and Yokomo (the make of the kit) they only have 190 and 200mm.

Its electric. I also need a 12v battery pack for the controller. And the car wouldn't go into reverse when I used my one of my dad's 12v batterys from his power tools. Is that a natural thing for electric models?

theres also 280mm bodies for your car...there is

a porsche 911 turbo,nissan skyline GTR, viper GTS-R, BMW V12 LMR

how much did u pay BTW?

i havent done R/Cs in a while but i believe 200mm is the measurement for a rally car. and 190mm is a touring car. go to your local hobby shop, they should help you out w/ a body, otherwise check out www.rccaraction.com . good luck w/ your car.

I paid nothing. I found it in my friends closet and told him I would fix it for him. He doesn't know that he isn't getting it back:D *angel* sucker.

He is quite forgetful......

It has an Audi A4 racing body. (at least I think its an A4....

I'll have to think about it because I've never had a cool r/c car. Only those $20 ones from Canadian Tire.

Although the $50 does sound enticing......

which is better? RC trucks or RC cars?

slemmer 02-09-2003 12:18 AM

That depends on personal tastes. I like the touring cars as they tend to hug the ground better than trucks.

Jon@Bimmersport 02-09-2003 12:28 AM

do u mean the off road trucks or the touring cars? obviously you cant use the cars (except rally) off road...and make sure if you try it, you dont have a belt system..it'll really get ****ed!

i am so waiting for spring..when we can all go to a huge flat lot and rip our cars...maybe we can have lapping and min auto-x lol
