proper speaker wire to use for install.
 

what would be the proper speaker wire to use for installing my speakers or hooking up to the factory ones.

i stopped into a shop here in the falls and the stuff he was wanting to sell me was along the same lines as what you would get OEM with a home stereo (small) and i thought that it was much thicker stuff. i was told if it's the same size as the ones that are in the car from factory then it will work just fine .... but i don't know and i would rather not go into FS/BB and ask them cause i will just get the sales pitch to buy expensive stuff that i really don't need.

so hoping someone on here can give me the truth about what i can use. i don't want anything over heating or shorting out.... and don't want to have to re-do everything after i get my interior put back in.
