Summer Tire Suggestions.................Paging Jay
Hey guys,

I need a set of new tires for a 96 Nissan Maxima, It is the V6 without leather or anything special (forget the model name). It came with the steelies/hubcap combo I believe the size is 205/65/15. Now I need a new set of tires for the summer, firstly should I go with a summer or all-season? I noticed there is a lot more selection with all season in this size. This is my Grandma's car so she does not need anything super high performance but I also do not want cheap crap either. What are your suggestions and where should I be getting them? Tirerak is normally cheapest should I just order from there?

As per usual, here you got Jay. Ranked from most to least important.

Ride Quality/Dry Traction
Noise/Wet Traction

I just want a middle to higher end tire for not a lot of money that is going to last (and be safe for Grandma). It is not going to be for tracking or setting handling records lol

Thanks in advance for your help.

Any of these:

Goodyear Assurance TripleTred
Michelin X Radial
Hankook Mileage Plus II H725
Yokohama Avid TRZ
Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus
Kumho Solus KH16

You honestly can't go wrong with any of those for what she wants. I focused on traction/noise/ride/treadlife when I chose them, for the record. Pretty sure the Kumho/Hankook would be the cheapest.

as you said grandma i just rembered leaving munich one day and at a traffic light just before the autobahn i pulled up to this gorgeous Red porsche carrera, look inside and there is an old lady with white gloves, white head, she must have been pushing 80 years. i get on the autobahn behind her, and there she goes laying down the law. hits the throttle and doesnt let go until she disapears on the horizon. *th-up**th-up**th-up*

ya never know what your granny is up to, maybe she will need some 18X8's and some slick pirelli UHP summers.

yes yes i am bored at work again, tick tock 7 minutes left
