Now i know this list is a little over the top, and is goin to be very expensive, i am in the prosess of getting sponsers, and like i said it will cost me the same amount as other cars i was looking at buying, such as a e46 M3, e39 M5
or the 850CSI.

and one last comment, about 1/3 of the parts listed are purchesed and ready to go. i started buy parts about 1 year ago.

well, not to discourage you or anything (i am in process of dumping quite a bit of cash into my e30 myself) just keep in mind that if you ever were in a situation that you'd want to sell this car, you WILL loose a lot of money!

Now my biggest recommendation at this point would be for you to take the body apart as much as you can, fix all the rust, recoat with anti-rust primer, repaint. Your car is almost 20yr old it DOES have rust (unless it was in california or texas all its life)

Also consider putting in a quicker steering rack and replace all the wearable parts (esspecially all rubber parts)

One more thing: you say that you will have 3" pipe splitting into two 1.5" pipes. You do realize that the area of a 3" circle is significantly larger than the cumulative area of two 1.5" circles.
In fact let me do the math for you: A=PI*r^2 ,
so for 3": A=3.14*6^2= 113.04 sq-inch
for 1.5" : A=3.14*3^2= 28.26 sq-inch

that yields: 113.04 against 28.26*2=56.52

there you have it - you are introducing a whopping 50% of restriction right there.

And this is going to be your daily driver? Sounds like a waste of money IMO… Race glass? Carbon fiber everything?

How old are you? (just a side question…)

^^ my point exactly, unless you are made of money, i wouldn't recommend this kind of setup for DD

im sorry i do not work for nasa, and about the alpina, unichip pigyback system, i for got to put in there that i am in the prosess of deciding on what would be the best to go with the project, i do not pain on using all 3!!!!!

I dont know what it is about the e30 but im in love with the cars. And with help from a few friends of mine who own shops and performance parts stores in the area i will be building it to be a car that i will keep for many years. The car will not be a daily driver, since all the money and sorts that i put into it, it will be stricktly for the weekends, track/strip, and show.

now like i said is it a big waist of money....ya it could be, but when will i ever have the chance to do this again in my life.

oh and for the question of my age, i am 20 years old, and i do know what im talkin about i have been doin body work and reparing recks since i was about 8 years old. so i know a thnig or to when it comes to building a car.

And let the back peddling begin!!! I’m going to go ahead and say you’re a dreamer. If you were looking at E46 M3… and you love E30’s, why not just spend the cash on a E30 M3. There’s a few around for 15-20k, and…WOW! They already have all that E30 M3 shit you want to add to your car!

I know, I’m an asshole.

But your idea just seems………. Dumb.
