Sugar The Bitter Truth

If you got an hour and a half to watch a lecture, this is the lecture you gotta watch.

"Long story short.

fructose isn't metabolised properly by the liver and has the same effect on the body as alcohol, without the drunkeness. Fructose produces dense LDL cholesterol (arterial plaque) when metabolised.

Fructose is in nearly 100% of American foodstuffs, from baby food to soy sauce. The USDA will not declare fructose as harmful because of the huge economic impact.

High fibre diets can mitigate some of the fructose to an extent as the fibre traps it in the bowel and it is digested by bacteria (get fat, or fart).

It's not about low fat diets, fat can be burned, fructose cannot."

Any studies from other reputable sources to corroborate UC's findings? There is all kinds of research that comes from universities etc, that isn't supported with further research. I research piece doesn't make a fact.

Controlling Our Food
On March 11 a new documentary was aired on French television - a documentary that Americans won’t ever see. The gigantic bio-tech corporation Monsanto is threatening to destroy the agricultural biodiversity which has served mankind for thousands of years

Im not setting out to counter the prof and his hypothesis. He gave some ideas to how fructose is metabolized. Im sure he studied it in a proper enviroment before coming out with his lecture though.... They wouldn't risk their reputation on some bogus study. Im pretty sure its a fact that when fructose is metabolized it does turn into LDL cholestrol though, or a certain percent does. Anyway, if you got other studies that disprove him and are from a reputable source (University studies, research papers/peer reviewed) then Id be more then willing to look into them/ watch them.
