Torque Specs

Might try changing the brakes this weekend (first timer). Was wondering what the torque specs are for all the screws (rear and back)? I know there's the rotor locator bolt, brake caliper sliders, and the caliper bracket bolts.

Also was wondering where the best place to put the jack stands are? Do you guys think I'll be ok changing the brakes w/o jack stands and just a jack?

Any other tips for a first timer wouldn't hurt either :)

Thanks.

Its do-able i wouldnt say you need any torque specs but just snug up the bolts for the caliper and tighter on the bracket bolts. Pull out the sliders and regrease. clean up your brackets. your going to need to squeeze your piston back into the caliper. Or if you need help you can drop by my place and ill show you first hand so your good for the next time.

Hey thanks for the advice. If I get stuck I'll be sure to keep that offer in mind *wave*

Brakes are easy. Just make sure everything is snug. Do not over tighten though. I've seen many bolts break because people over tighten them and trust me, its easily done. Also, grab some sandpaper to get rid of some rust and anti-seize for the bolts, it comes in handy.
