Help with E39 all season/summer tires, please reply ASAP!

Hello,

I need to buy all season/summer tires for my E39 (530i). I considered the Yakohama AVID TRZ because they are cheaper ($583 for all 4 plus installation labour), but I am reading some really bad reviews such as noisy, wearing fast, etc. (I have winter tires on the car now.)

Any good tires you can suggest? And if you remember, what were the prices like?

Please answer ASAP because I am off this week and I want to finish this tires change this week hopefully.

Thanks in advance for your feedback :)

If you haven't checked tirerack.com yet, you would probably find that site pretty useful. You can enter your vehicle and then use their "Tire Decision Guide" to prioritize the particular features that are most important to you - handling, noise / comfort / wear rating. You can then narrow down the results by choosing the particular type of all-season tire (ultra-high performance, high performance, touring) and brand. Even if you don't decide to purchase from them there's a lot of good information available.
Good luck!

I use nokian WR G2s on most of my cars as a all season tire which also has a severe snow emblem on it so it performs very well in the winter. They are not cheap but they don't wear very quickly (more in summer than winter).

Been using them since the Nokian WR times.

Size???

I use both of these on both daily drivers, I've ordered the Sumo ST09 twice from 1010 tires, $109 is an excellent deal for 235-45-17 tires.

Go with some Yokohama Avid Envigors. 235/45/17 is only $725 taxes in, installed.

Great price all in!

I looked at those last year when I was looking for the next set of tires for my 540iT but the reviews that I read indicated that threadwear was an issue so I wound up ordering another set of Sumos ST09s.

Yokohama Avid TRZ

Hi guys,

I ended up going for the Yokohama Avid TRZ because the reviews gave the ENVigor a noise rating of 3.6/5 which is the same as the TRZ. I've been using the TRZ for 3 days now and they are very quiet! They are also an amazing upgrade over my semi-worn winter tires!
