Fishing

I know good fishing spots are good because they're kept a secret but let's share some:)

I'm looking for some spots in the KW/Fergus/Stratford area but if you know good spots farther away please do tell..

Salmon season isn't too far away but I still need some fishing fun during this "summer", bass, pike, trout etc.

I'm going for the first time ever tomorrow morning. Friends said somewhere near Barrie - thats all I know :S

Bring sandwiches :)

I hate those sandwiched you buy from Sobeys but when going fishing they taste amazing

I would have gone , but I went to Montenegro and Croatia and got back recently. On my way back, I brought some gadgets. My father gave me his stuff.

Goran, any decent spots for trout around Toronto? I heard Nottawasaga river around Alliston is nice place for that..

Also why bring sandwich. Gather some beef/corn and BBQ that long fishing.

there are always nice brown trout on the streatch of the grand that passes through fergus. I do believe it is fly fishing only and you are allowed to keep two fish max but only specific sizes.

I go to Fergus from time to time, if you fish on one side of the bridge (downstream from the falls) you can keep the fish but on the other you have to let them go.

I got a nice 14lbs trout there once. Usually if we go farther away we end up in Owen Sound, Tobermory etc. so we don't fish that much in Toronto area except in Milton during salmon season.

just came back, not bad for my noobie experience. Caught 3 Carp, never knew they had sharp dorsal fins. Every single time stabbed myself grabbing them off the hook. Friends caught decent size Pike - largest was 0.9lbs (i know i know, not much but they just wouldn't bite)

going again next week

They can seize your vehicle if you don't have a license..and for $30/year it's worth it.

Most people get that part but you also have to make sure what's in season, what you can keep etc.

Separate section with smaller ones. They separated them so small ones don't get eaten up by biggies.
