Hi,

looking for OEM red seat belts. If someone knows where I can find them, let me know.

Cheers,

Cheers,

umm, do you understand only 600 EVO III M3's were built ?

LMAO

Yes, I understand that full well. For one, it doesn't mean that a car needs to be stripped or that only one or two were available for purchase new.

In fact I know of someone who recently got them brand new from a retailer and that's why I'm running this by the community, so I can possibly find such a person.

It's a long shot, but worth asking, and if you have nothing constructive to add, other than your LMAO and eye rolling, then please don't reply next time. Your knowledge that only 600 or so were made doesn't impress me. I really thought there were ten thousand Evos running around and that I can find this at the Canadian Tire for $10.00.

I didnt reply to try and impress you with my extensive E30 M3 knowledge.
I posted to make you realize you are wasting your time.
LMAO

well, firing off a few words is not exactly extreme effort and you never know, because as I said, I know of someone who managed to get their hands on some original, bnib stock, so what have I got to lose?

There actually was a set recently on ebay, but those are fake, even though they have BMW labels.

I might have misconstrued your LMAO and rolling eyes aimed at me - I guess it's your signature.

Anyway, I'll definitely let you know if I'm ever able to get my hands on these.

Cheers,

My if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black...

I'd bet he finds a set before you find what you're looking for.. although it seems you haven't managed to be deterred by your own advice.

OP, goodluck with your search. I know of a fellow with a spare set.. I can't speak for him, and these are the kind of things most people prefer to hang onto (ask me how I know), but I'll inquire and PM you if I have any positive info. to share.

Totally different. I know for a fact that EVO III is in the GTA (Etobicoke area)

How is he wasting his time searching for a part that he knows exists, albeit not sure of its availability. On the other hand, you are searching for a car you know exists, yet unsure of its availability.... wait a second..

Yup, very different lol.

Robb,
They did make 'spare parts'.
Yes, there are people who have purchased these particular belts and have them on the shelf. It never hurts to ask/post what you're looking for and hope that someone decides to let it go.
Only problem are those that reproduced them and try to sell them as the real deal. They need to compare the weave on it and confirm if it's legit.

M_DREI,
Good luck on your search. I suggest you try S14.net too if you haven't already done so. Be patient, someone will eventually let a set go.

I feel like I remember seeing red belts in a BMPdesign catalogue YEARS ago... Doubt they were OEM though.

///M-TRD3, thanks a lot! If you can find anything out, I'd be much obliged, to say the least - if nothing comes of it, thanks for trying :)

///Maluco, thanks for the info as well. Yes I'm aware of the patterning on the fake stuff which isn't present on oem - it's solid. The labels are also done differently on oem. There were some pictures shown, I believe on s14.net, which is the only reason I knew. I didn't post there as for some reason my account still hasn't been enabled with sufficient permissions. I'll have to bug someone.

Cheers,
