New Addition to the family

Hey Guys,

Been really really busy as of late (a year may qualify as more than "as of late" but don't judge lol)

I picked up a 2007 335i (Jet Black) about 6 weeks ago. It has 28,000km, HPFP was done, car was purchased CPO with another 2 years warranty left and 160k (not that I will be able to make it there in 2 years)

Overall I'm really happy with the car, she drives fantastic and makes me smile every time I hear the motor in the condo parking.

Not much done in the first 6 weeks. I did get the angel eye bulbs and license plate lights replaced with LEDs and I threw on some 19's. They are P40 reps, matt gunmetal (pictures don't really show the color well).

Sadly this was the first time she was washed in 6 weeks and only opportunity I got to actually take a picture of her.

But none the less, here she is, and in usual Max fashion, please do throw in some recommendations on what should be done next. *rockout*

So far, i figured the following: 1.) blackline taillights, 2.) smoked side markers, 3.) 40% tint all around (any darker would be way too black IMO) 4.) LED interior lights

Thanks for looking *wave*

Miro

Looks great! Blackline, coilovers, maybe an mtech or oem spoiler? Front Splitters and maybe some exhaust tips.

I would highly recommend a tune as well for the performance to start off, makes the car a whole new beast!

Did you unplug the actuator in the trunk for a nicer exhaust note?

So preeeety, hmmm I wish I was done school and had a job... *sad*... Then I could pick up all the other ladies who didn't like my E30

Life feels better when your car can corner flat out, I'ed do that before power, as long as its stick you can make your own power*th-up* also a good exhaust tone makes a choir of angels jealous

The tune will likely occur early next year, I wana take it slow and just get a feel for the car as it is now then start upping the numbers in order to appreciate them more.

I have unplugged the actuator in the trunk and it does have a nicer growl at idle but other than that I don't really notice much... don't exactly have the most sensitive hearing so I'll just assume it sounds better lol :)

Do they make front splitters for the regular bumper? I really love the Mtech rear bumper and the m3 front bumper but mixing and matching can't happen, so i'll probably head down the Mtech route when the time comes.

Lol your first comment is jokes... no worries you'll finish school and it'll all turn out much better than you expect... who doesn't like e30's? Something's clearly wrong with them... hell I'd love an e30.

Ya I agree, I want to feel out the car first before any more power gets thrown on... Car sounds get under my skin... I love good sounding cars... It doesn't even matter what it is... if it sounds good I'll take my hat off for it.

+1 on the matte black grills. I would also vinyl wrap your side window trim.

You can get splitters for the regular bumper, they actually look pretty nice I would get them for sure for now. You can mix and match mtech and m3, I've seen a lot of people do it actually at the local meets.

If you look over at the other e90 forums I use "...." allllll the time, I actually use it way too much, it annoys people haha... I've had to force myself to stop using it in every single post.

If you have a 335i or 330i there is an actuator in the trunk on the drivers side that you can unplug, there trunk liner has a little compartment that opens and inside is the actuator which you can unplug.

What Dr. G said, its a little plug behind the left tail light. Quite hard to see actually, I usually just feel it out. It's got a wire that runs across it serving as a locking mechanism (i dont know if i'm explaining it correctly, its one of those things you gotta see, must harder to explain). Can be tricky to put back if you have big hands and if its the first time your doing it as you have to press the wire thingy inwards for the plug to connect.

Did i make any sense?

thanks guys, i ended up searching it the same day i posted that and did the mod the following morning haha, sounds a lot nicer now, not that it didn't to begin with now no more waiting for the valve to open during start ups
