Stock 335i VS Stock E46 M3

I'm looking for an E46 Stock or slightly tuned M3 that wants to hit the strip for some quick runs.

Well if my seat of the pants impression counts for anything the 335i is faster, smoother and handles better than the e46 M, It would be nice to see an unbaised head to head shoot out though.

Bump for you.

Bump for you.

Faster, NO
Smoother, Possibly
Handles better, No.

This comparison has been done a million times. And those^^ were the results.*wave*

WOW wasn't expecting that,*Flame suit engaged* Each time a new generation of 3 series comes out all of the prevoius generation owners get all defensive as some kind of delayed buyers remourse surfaces and they feel the need to deffend a buying decision made years ago. I don't get it, it's just a car gentleman.

My comments are as I said based on my "seat of the pants" evaluation, who cares which car is faster around the Ring? last time I checked my car spends the majority of it's time stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.

Guys, comon. Ado didn't ask for everyone's opinions on the matter. He asked for someone who has an m3 to hit the strip, to compare the cars.

Going to the drag strip with those two cars will only really show which of the two drivers can launch their cars better IMO.
My father in law has a 335, great car, but I would keep my M any day.

Thats good, no one asked you to give up your M. As Ado asked, anyone with a stock or near stock e46 M3 want to join him at the track? Let's try and stay on topic guys...

blah blah blah, like I said before, it will come down to who can launch their cars the best. For those that have actually been to a drag strip, will agree with me, especially when two closely matched cars line up.
Which drag strip are you guys going too? Im normally busy, but if you catch me on a off day, there is a small chance I would come.

I drive a 17 year old hooptie. There's no one less conflicted than me.

Sorry. From the seat of my pants, my car will murder a 911 GT3.
