If there was a heat shield for the kit it would be pictured and listed in description.

are there supports for this, or is it short enough to just hang there?

I'll snap some pics of what I used to hold one on my car, could just hang there, but would rattle, so I would sugest a tie wrap or some metal straping

Boots R 05-24-2011 02:05 PM

pics would be great. do you ever make it down to the west end?

richie_s999 05-24-2011 02:08 PM

should have a pic for you today, (in the middle of a set of night shifts*shiner*) I may be in the west end this week to pick up axles for my car I'll let you know

here is a pic of how I mounted it, used a couple tie wraps to lock down the MAF just to be sure, has been on the car for over 6 months with no issues

I will be heading to Simply Cars tomorrow to see about some axles for my cars so may be able to meet up

If you sped a few dollars on getting this dyno tested so that you have some facts to show buyers you will be much, much more successful in sales.

Pretty sure you knew it, but just thought I'd suggest it.

trueno92 06-20-2011 12:45 PM

bump, i also have one of these for sale.

anyone interested PM me.

People don't usually buy an intake for massive gains, because there are none. It's mostly for the sound.

True, most people do buy them for the sound, but some gains are still there.

I'm not very familiar with the older M50s , but in the newer M54s some intakes can provide 0 hp gain some as much as 6rwhp and some can make you even lose HP. All been proven and backed by numerous dynos.

I would suspect the same could be said for the older M50s, but I might be wrong.

Serious lack of manners and no sence of respect for the rules of the for sale section, discussion, and non related statements to anything but the sale of item of thread, oh and a thread jack too!!

this kit is for the 2.5L motors, it would need the temp reg. from a 2.5L air box to fill the side tube to work on a 2.8L

ju_le_new 07-05-2011 01:21 AM

Would it fit a 320i?

Check your air filter box, if there is 2 coolant lines running to it and the regulator ( held in with a 10pm bolt) then it will work, I'm pretty sure obd1 cars all have this set up.

richie_s999 08-04-2011 08:39 AM
