Paint scheme help
Well the year has come to get my car painted, gonna drop it off at the end of this season. Definately leaving the car white but wanna add a little bit more black, i definitely want black roof, maybe?
My brother is trying to convince me that it would look good with a black hood to but i feel like that is too much, any help?
Most up to date pic of car

Idea of my idea for color scheme

p.s should i black out the lip on my rims or leave chrome?

Any photoshop help or links would be great!

Hmm... my opinion, you've already got a pretty good colour scheme going on, but if you want to add black I'd suggest maybe doing the roof. The hood might be a bit much, especially if it's just paint and not CF or anything practical.

You could also repaint the whole car white and then pirce out a vinyl cut to make the roof black.... it would look the same, but you always have the option of removing it down the line if you get sick of it or didn't like it.

With the rims, I'd leave them the way they are.

edit: and leave the mouldings black and all that.... the front lip, debatable, but I'd leave that black as well.

In my opinion balck rims with shiney lips are played out. If you do decide to go with the black roof then definitely paint the chrome lips black. The car will look much better.

Painting the hood black alone is simply wack. I think it looks cheap and it simply looks like it belogs on another car. However if you do wanna go with the balck hood then have it done properly and overlap the black on to feders. In this case you would have to do the hood roof and trunk black. That combo with the all black rims...damn!

And you mentioned you are gonna paint it at the end of the season. Why not wait for the winter to end and then have it dont next spring. That way you have plenty of nice weather to enjoy that new paint job.

car gets tucked all winter, so it really doesnt matter, but my buddy said his shop can do it for a better price during the winter cause they usually arent as busy.

Leave mouldings black.

Paint the car white.. then cover hood trunk and roof in vinyl and see how you like it.

Looking at the photo of your car now and the pic of the car with back hood/roof/trunk, your car looks so much better.

Now if the black overlapped on the fender, down the door, over the quater panel and onto the trunk, it would be a different story.

any examples of what you're thinking?

thanks alot man well i guess any of the black im thinking about will be vinyl wrap, which will be a better idea for when its time to sell incase buyer doesn't like two tone idea.
