2001 330 ci weird shaking
i have a 2001 330ci with a weird shake in the front end when i bought the car i had 19's on it i was driving on the highway at around 100 and the steering wheel was violently shaking. i first thought breaks but had no pedal pulse. i changed to my winter tires which are 17's and the shake isnt as bad but it still there any thoughts? there is no grinding noise's or anything but my front left tire seems to wear on the inner part of the tread more

Does it get worse while braking? Could be your front control arm bushings.

Tierods, balljoints, or bushings...all can cause this.

it only does it at certain speeds like 90-105 120-130 there is no clunking and no it doesn't seem to get worse while breaking it still does it but with no pulse in the pedal

try a completely diff set of rims. both your set might be bent or warped. try taking ur winters in for balancing.

+1 ... first time this happened to me my control arm bushings were done. Recently, it was the tie rod bushings.

Any good shop should be able to identify it in a few minutes, just need to check for play in the mentioned parts. Get it done ASAP as you will damage tires and other components with that vibration*th-up*

I have the same issue (on two different sets of rims/tires, going to try a third set after winter).

Mine is apparent however even at lower speeds (can feel the pulsation in the steering wheel and car in general). It does get worse at highway speeds, especially in the floorboards, seats and the whole car in general. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes it isn’t as bad sometimes (for example, for some reason it is worse after the car has been sitting for a while).
Another thing I noticed with the steering wheel was after driving for about an hour, the steering wheel vibration almost completely went away (until the next day).

All of my suspension components check out (it’s a ’04 with ~83k) and are fine. I’m stumped as to what it could be, if you figure it out please post back.

Do your rims have hub rings?

Tires, rims, then tierods, balljoints, or bushings.
