You must be a member of the The BMW Club of Canada or affiliate chapters. Membership fees are $62.15 (HST included).
If you've never participated before and would like to try it out for the first time you may do so as a guest for $60.00 as a one time allowance.

Register early and get your car ready. Be part of the track walk. This is the most important part to learn the course!
Late comers will have to get rides with other participants to learn the course. If you miss the track walk, and you may also miss out on your first practice run!

A Few Changes for 2012 . . .
For 2012, BMW Trillium Club is proud to announce we have collaborated efforts with CASC-OR regional autoslalom series for 1 of our events.
The May 20th Mosport DDT Autoslalom event will have a larger field, thus reducing the price of registration to $50.00 (members) $60.00 (non-members).
Due to the increased number of participants we cannot guarantee there will be any time left for “open lapping” after the competition.

Helmets are always mandatory. A recommendation of Snell 2000 or SA2000 or better is preferable.
Some loaner helmets will be available for rent, but this is on a first come, first serve basis. Helmet rentals are $10/day.
If you plan on competing towards the autoslalom finals & competition trophy (awarded at the Christmas Dinner)
we have decided to take your best results from 6 of 8 events (keep in mind Winter Go-Karting results also count for the later).

Registration for 2012 is to be done electronically via our website. You can pay by PayPal.
Memberships are also being done electronically and that feature is already up and running.
As usual with both facilities, washrooms will always be open for usage all day long. You can buy lunch at the onsite Powerade concession.
Lunch at Mosport DDT is included with participation.

First-Timers:
You must be a member to be able to attend our Autoslalom events. If attending your first event for the season,
complete, please note that all observers, helpers, and passengers must complete a waiver.
Parents or guardians need to submit waivers for children.
Please keep check back to see updates as some of this information is subject to change!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at Randy.Sparre@gmail.com

Thanks in advance,

Randy Sparre
Autoslalom Chair

P.S. Volunteers needed!
Anyone that can help out with Autoslalom please e-mail me or contact our volunteer coordinator Dan Janssen (aka Danimal)
You will automatically be qualified for our new rewards program (build up enough volunteer hours and you can get a free Mosport school!)
We need your help to keep these events alive.

P.P.S This event will (officially) no longer be called "Autocross", rather "Autoslalom"

You'd have to be nuts not to come to the May DDT event... $50 for members is as good a deal as you'll ever get for a DDT event... and if we do have time to go lapping, what a bonus. I can't wait to get my subframe fixed up and my sticky tires mounted up.

Just a side note, we will be using CASC's timing gear for the May 20th event, and all the times are up on a display screen for all to see (so we can see how many CASC guys we're ahead of!)

I like how you're respecting the SCCA's ownership of the word "autocross", but to hell with Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, or whatever the hell Mosport is called now, haha!

Looking forward to what is sure to be a great season!!

Is registration solely electronic or is it still possible for people to show up and register at the event the day of? Also, in the event that you pre-register but due to extenuating circumstances you can't make it, do you get credit that can be used towards another event?

dble Trouble 03-14-2012 06:03 PM

Yes Registration is to be done electronically. If you are not a member, you won't be able to register electronically in which case you'll register in person the morning of. This is in an effort expedite registrations in the am.

If you can't make it after pre-registering we will issue a credit towards another event. There are no weather related refunds. It is a competition event rain/snow/sun. :)

I would also like to mention that SPDA is graciously sponsoring our May 20th Solo 2autocross at the Mosport DDT. We would not be able to charge half price without their support for such an event! Thank-you SPDA!

Sunday May 20 -Mosport DDT (CASC-OR event)

Is this one still a go?

dble Trouble 04-26-2012 07:31 PM

^^The May 20th event is 100% a go. The level of involvement from other sanction is in question but we're, like I said 100% a go.

Is it not the "other sanction's" event?

dble Trouble 04-27-2012 12:35 AM

^^Nope, it's our event, they were/are supporting us. Are you at the track today? or just Sat Sun? We'll catch up then.

E30M42cab 05-02-2012 05:12 PM

Guys, sign up for this online, Pleaaaaaase!! Less time wasted registering at the event, the better. So far only three people have signed up online! BTW, John isn't one of them, and Randy isn't another. Go figure!

(lazy bastards!)

jabela 05-02-2012 06:03 PM

We should offer a pre-registration discount and a penalty for late arrivals. Like $5 or something.

edit: Sorry Jon, didn't see your post just before I made one.

jabela 05-02-2012 10:54 PM

richie_s999 05-02-2012 11:03 PM

I'd sign up but I'm just hauling and working this one, I have a car to start rebuilding, should be ready for first event of 2013 lol

E30M42cab 05-03-2012 06:33 PM

5 have signed up online so far, so Steve, your podium is in jeopardy. Wait, did I see a stack of R888's somewhere on your FB page?

dble Trouble 05-03-2012 10:30 PM

Heads up, in order to register you need to be logged into the site first!

You did, that pic is also in my build thread. I'm not going to be running the R888s though, that would bump me into a different class wouldn't it?

T.Dot_E30 05-04-2012 09:43 AM

Is there a deadline to register? Like can i register Saturday night?

This is my birthday weekend, and i'm not sure ill be able to make it. I need to finish a few things on my car, and get my star specs mounted on rims. Otherwise the 20th might be my first event.

I'm pretty sure that if you can't make an event they will credit your registration fee to the next event you register for.

Thanks for the direct link, I felt like a newbie trying to find it on the trillium site, which in my opinion is not good for people who don't frequent max.

It's not on the home page, it's not on the auto slalom page, it's not on the page that says registration has begun.
The only way i could find it was to use the link Randy and Jon posted above.

Really? If you're on the home page (http://trillium-bmwclub.ca/), on the right hand side there is an "Event Registration" bar

If you click on May 2012 AutoSlalom it takes you right to the page. Just follow the instructions posted there.

T.Dot_E30 05-04-2012 05:27 PM

Brain fart, my bad for the life of me I couldn't find it.

I'm not sure. Bring them anyways at least. R-comps are only 2 points... got room on your mod list for 2 points? I'm going to be running my RA1's, so I guess I'll just have to beat you outright, and with PAX.;)

Hey, it's my bday on saturday too, but I'll be there!*par-t* No excuses! There is no deadline... if you can make it, pay there, or register now, and we can forward your payment to the 20th if you can't make it.

dble Trouble 05-04-2012 11:38 PM

No excuses, birthdays, partying, blah! Be there! LOL.

richie_s999 05-07-2012 10:47 AM

WOW, what a great first event to kick off the 2012 season!!!!!!!!!!!

Weather was great, cars were amazing and the day was just perfect.

Had a great day meeting alot of new competitors and checking out some amazing cars, I have to get a better camera and start taking photo's because there was some wicked wicked cars out.

Big thank you to all working in the timing tent this Sunday, it was amazing to have all those cars put through their runs in just over 5 hours, you guys kept me busy making sure cars were staged and ready to go. Also a big thanks to all competitors for marshaling during the event, great work everyone!!!!

Also big thanks to Randy for all his work leading up to this event in the off season!

Looking forward to seeing everyone for the next event on May 20th at the DDT at Mosport!!!!!

Even if your not racing everyone has to come check this one out!!!!!!!!!!

m_guimont323 05-07-2012 04:07 PM

I have to agree !

Fantastic first event guys, very well organized, great weather, friendly people. All in all an awesome day. Look forward to the DDT event !

Bullet Ride 05-07-2012 07:56 PM

I'd like to see some pics from the professional photographers that were there. Hopefully they post some up in the next few days.

dble Trouble 05-07-2012 08:05 PM

As I mentioned in the drivers meeting their photography is proprietary to them. If you want a shot you've got to $ up for it.

Bullet Ride 05-07-2012 11:32 PM

That doesn't mean they can't post some low-res, watermarked shots. In fact that's what they should do to give us a feel for the quality of the shots they got. Or at least post a link to their own website where we can peruse the thumbnails and order shots.

richie_s999 05-07-2012 11:42 PM

I'm more waiting to see Mike's video he's working on, the one he did a couple years ago was wicked!!!

jabela 05-08-2012 01:13 PM

Posted some of my gopro videos in the photo thread.
