E36 Vert E92 FACELIFT

4 Attachment(s)
Picked up this 97 Vert with only 30K original miles for my Son a few months
back. It was in near new condition except for some front end damage, so in the repair process we thought we would update it a little bit. The bumper is just out of the mold we made and the fenders are still in primer but wanted to see what you guys think. Sorry if we have offended any purists.

cheers

iits different than what were used to seeing e36s look like..

the bumper looks like it sticks out too much out of the car.. and too big for the wheels, headlights and fender.
what you think of this???*rockout*

That's quite different... I think you might pull it off with some SERIOUS mods; ie. Aggressive wheels and slammage.

Dosen't stick out any more than stock, think it looks that way because its a different colour and the car needs to be lowered.
Will see when it's all done, at the end of the day it's only a few bolts to go back to stock.

That's a whole lot of mods on the pic you posted, I think it looks good and I can appreciate the amount of work it took.

NSX, Good luck with your project...

I think it might work out once you get it painted.

e30drifter 05-05-2010 08:35 PM

From the first pic, because of the front bumper, the side skirt looks much lower than the bumper. If you can add a front lip to help even it out, I think the side profile will flow better.

until you schlam the car with the bumper colour matched itll always look dumb! as for the vert with the 5er front end, looks badass!

I'll agree with A for effort and enthusiasm, but that will never look good.

But its your car, if you dig it, thats what matters.

Looks similar to combo of what Mazda did with their Mazda 3 and the Infinity Q45's with the larger lower openings. Make sure you cut out and do something with the lower openings where fog lights could go. You might have to do something with the rear lower valence to balance the heavier front end look. Someone shoudl photoshop the front to see how it would look for the OP.

Bought it years ago, tried looking for the receipt but no luck...sorry.
They are located behind Princess auto on Dixie Rd in Mississauga.

after seeing the custom bodywork on your NSX (when i sold you the headlights), i think this e36 will be very unique! Keep up the good work *wave*

Not digging it. Looks "wings west" to me. To many curves and swoops for the otherwise strait lines of an e36.
