The new project; 740i Sport!!!

After years of looking for the right car, i finally located a clean E38 shell. This is just what i was looking for; facelift 740i Sport! This one is an 01 silver on black with wide screen navi, original M parallels (all 5!) and a rust free body!
Now the hunt begins for a good driveline transplant; maybe S62 or something else with most likely 6 speed. Other mods will include suspension, brakes exhaust and wheels. A few minor body changes might take place, but nothing big, keeping it clean and simple. Let me know what you think, and any suggestiong are welcome!!!*th-up**wave*

Oh meine Güte... *love*. The best looking sedan BMW ever produced (along with the late model E39's). I've always vowed to one day own a prestine one of these. Along with the E39, I would take an E38 over any new BMW sedan to date. Goodluck Fil, I'll be living vicariously. *th-up*

You sold enough of their parts it's about time you drove one! :) Good luck on the fixups!

Ok fine, reverse-psychology: if you DON'T put in an S85, you will have to toss my salad. I think the choice between eating my asshole and coming in my mouth will crystallize the decision for you.

Nick_V 08-30-2012 06:50 PM

wow. quite the party in here.

After a quick wash, the car cleaned up nice. Next to no rust, very good for a 12 year old Canadian car! A compression test came up with the lowest #'s i have ever seen! Not enaugh to even get the car started!

1st mod; just picked up an original ACS front lip! Best looking add on for the E38 IMO!

740-iLL 10-02-2012 10:03 AM

Where did you find an ACS lip?

slemmer 10-02-2012 02:53 PM

Yeah, do tell! I'm still on the fence with the dual out exhaust mod.
