PIXXX!!! Rear wheels installed!

So I decided to install my rear wheels today. I didn't have much faith they'd fit without the fender mods I plan to do, and boy was I right, but DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN do they look HOTTNESS!
I can't install the fronts just yet, although I would love to, because the front bumper rubs against the tires and needs to be trimmed about an inch or two, but for now I still went forth with the rears.
After they were installed I must have stood there forever gawking at them from all angles, chub in my pants, I decided to go out for a bit of a spin to see how they rode....LOOOOOL...I didn't even make it a full 360' turn back into my driveway without seeing parts of my rear fender (rusted parts) flying out behind the car. Looks like I'll be sanding and priming it this evening to prevent further rust until I can get it into the shop to have the cancer cut out. All it has to last is about a couple weeks anyway while my turbo goes in, so I think I can manage with the primer look for a while :D
I have to see now if I can also raise the rear of the car up a bit more, or decide what other options I have because even with the fender mods I think I'd like my ride to have some gap between the fender and wheels for drivability sake. The wheels are big enough it looks good still anyway ;)

Thanks man! I love the classic euro look on the E36, and since I'm trying to copy the original Rieger infinity I, these were THE rims to get to accomplish that ;)
I'll be getting the fenders flared by about an inch or so (mini wide-body lol) to fit the wheels cause ya they do stick out, but I did that on purpose. I could always get some 245's and try to stretch them on these wheels too for extra fender clearence, but for now...17x10 255's baby!!! :P

Oh, My Hotness
Love them!

If you're going to do body work anyway, you should look into grafting e46 front fender to the rear quarters, it looks pretty much stock (subtle) but you can run way wider tires.

That's a good idea. The front fenders on 2001+ e46's have even more flare to them than the pre-facelift models too. I like that idea... maybe I'll do something like that on my car.. hmm...

Because M3's don't have rear fenders... it's a part of the frame. Unless he plans on finding a wrecked e46 M3 to cut the rear quarter panels off of.

Manimillion 06-08-2006 12:58 PM

Are you going to be going widebody?

With all that power you're planning to make you're going to destroy those Yoko ES100's.

Soldo 06-08-2006 04:01 PM

DAMN, i love those rims!

Where did you actually find a set? Also, you still planing on going the TWO TONE route with the paint job? I think that would look very sexy!!

P.S. What happened to the charger? Wanna help a brotha out?! hehe
