New here! A lil about myself...

intro

Hey All,

I'm new here, so I figured I should say a bit about myself.

I'm a recent grad (University of Toronto: St. George), with an Econ/Physics/Math degree. I currently work in Retail (Personal) Banking.

I drive a 2002 Civic SiR (EP3 hatchback) and I'm in love with her (yes, it's a her. Her name is Alice), but I'm looking to buy a e90 next.

I love the unqiueness of the EP3, the practicality of the hatch, and rareness (I see one once a week, at most - and I have a 100km/day commute!). It's lightly modded, intake/race header/exhaust. Sticky summers on OZ Superleggeras and winters on stock 15s. DC5R suspension and rear sway. Rotates quite well, but still FWD. A LSD would help, but I might not be willing to invest that much $.

I figure I'll have to grow up eventually. Tired of the noise as well (the exhaust is deafening at 4k RPM when I'm on the 401), and would like 4 doors. Once my work moves closer to me (or me closer to work); I'd like to grab an e90.

BMW calls to me. 50:50 weight distribution, I6 smoothness, and the class. Everyone has a BMW, (and nobody has an EP3!) but I will set myself apart by keeping her clean clean clean. Full clay/polish/wax every season; and hand washed once a week! ^_^

Looking forward to learning a lot about these sexy cars! I've begun by putting all my questions here.

Cheers
k

You'll love your future E90, and you'll never look back. Welcome aboard! 335's ftw!;)

Welcome. The E90 is going t be a completely different experience than the EP in so many ways. It'll be an exciting change.

May I ask why e90 vs e46 e36 e30? e39? e34?

Some people just don't prefer/like old cars?

JINT 01-12-2011 08:26 PM

I agree with you... only for the fact that I can't afford a newer car.

Once I'm done with school. The e36 is going to get ditched so fast!

=p

No No No, don't listen to them, jk ;) Owning many 3 series cars over the years from E30's to my current E90, every single one of them has something the other doesn't! As much as i miss my E30's and E36's, one thing i don't miss is the constant maintenance of an older car. Old car=more maintenance. It kind of goes hand in hand. Whatever BMW you get you'll enjoy, so pick what suits you the best.
