Shaking when breaking - Sometimes
Hey everyone, I wanted to see what kind of opinions I can get of this issue. When I'm driving nothing shakes/raddles/moves around, As soon as I hit the brakes I start feeling my front end start to shake, when I let go of the steering wheel- I see it moving left and right aprox 10 deg. harder I press on the break harder it shakes - The interesting thing is that when it happends, I pull a U-ee and the problem goes away :eek:

.. I got new Zimmerman rotors with the m3 calipers on them..

I got a few suggestions the rotors could be warped..Anything else anyone might think of..?

did you put on new pads with the rotors? My guess is something with the rotors and or pads, but also ( this issue was on my honda), a funny wear pattern on your tires can cause this aswell.

seems like vibration problems are everywhere.. and ppl checked breaks.. tie rods.. bearings and such.. as you know our streets and highways are packed with pot holes.. we never have time to stop or slow down to avoid them.. One thing car owners fails to check is tire pattern.. and wheels being bent from pot holes.. if u have other set of wheels.. try them out and see if they still shakes.. Bent wheels can be sometimes tricky coz they are not visible all the time.. GL

Screwed up control arm bushings, check the ball joints, then suspect the calipers/rotors/pads.

This, PLUS spindle bearings and make sure wheels are torqued correctly.

Took this off of
The lower control arm bushings stabilize the rear of the front lower control arms. After about 50k miles the stock non-M3 bushings can begin to tear. When they do, the rear of the control arm is allowed to move farther than it should causing instability and a shake in the steering wheel when braking at high speeds (over 50mph).
