Are you sure there's such a tire by Micheline called the MXM4??

I think you are referring to the MXV4 Plus, yes no?

anyways, did you decide yet if you are going to go for the rims or the bumper yet?

If you are getting rims and a new set of summer tires, I suggest you to get winter tires.

And I'm not sure if you can get the Michelin MXV4 tires for $300, if you are referring to these tires.

Are you going to use these tires throughout the whole season or just for winter or summer?

yes, i check the website and there is pilot MXM4, i had the MXV4 plus on the lexus and they don't come in 18". yea, i am getting the rims instead of the bumper but can't deciding to go 17" or 18". the 18" look better but i plan to use these rims/tire all season so i don't know if they would be ok in snow. the 17" i have right now are pretty good in snow. if i get the 17" then i would have alot of tire to choose from. but if i get 18" i only have yokohama avs db, michelin pilot MXM4 or Pirelli p7000 supersport.

hmmm, so I guess you're not going to keep the OEM rims as your winter rims? hehe you should though since you mentioned that it's pretty good in the snow.
then for the new rims you can use summer tires.

what lexus did you have??

has anyone used the 330xi sport or X5 4.4 sport in the snow wit the summer tires??does the 330xi sport have summer tires? is it any good?

BTW, back on topic...i think you should go 17inch if you're gonna use it for all 4 seasons......18 inchers usually go with sport biased tires IMHO.

Please don't use summer tires in the snow even if you have a 330xi.

My friend tried using his summer tires in the snow on his A4 1.8T Quattro, and braking ability and turning is very weak. Acceleration is pretty good, but without good braking and turning abilities, it's not advisable to drive your car in the snow with summer tires. Well for safety reasons and gurantee that you'll survive in deep snow.

Yea you should be fine with all season 18"s.

In most cases from the level of snow we get here in Toronto :)

A set of separate snow tires would be nice, but if you are trying to save some money, I think you can survive with all-seasons + your AWD. WOHOO fun!
