Those are the e39 M5 Replicas. I've seen them on several e28s, and they look pretty good, especially in 16" IMO, 17 or 18 is too big for a mildly modified e28.

If you're interested, <a href="http://www.fatdaddybmw.com/gallery.html">check out my e28 gallery</a>. I've got over 150 e28s in there.

Here's a pic of Berto's 535i. He's got Euro bumpers, Erebuni body kit, and the 16" e39 M5 Replicas:

Here you go.

<img src="http://images.cardomain.com/installs/246000-246999/246472_16_full.jpg"></center>

Here's the link to that guy's e28 on cardomain.com:

<a href="http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=246472&make_type_query=make%3DBMW&model_brand_query=model%3D5-Series&tree=BMW%205-Series">e28 with 18" M Parallels</a>

I wish they made those in 17". That would be almost the perfect wheel!

I'm still partial to a staggered set of M-System wheels with the Throwing Star covers. Want a pic of an e28 with those?

I'd be honored to have you in the gallery! Do me a favor, though: send it to my fatdaddybmw.com e-mail, not my Yahoo e-mail. Use:

BTW, about the front M5 bumper spoiler, are you looking for just the spoiler or the whole bumper, too?

If you're looking for the spoiler, RD -- aka Racing Dynamics -- sells them new for ~$400. I think that's about how much OEM would cost you from a dealer or a place like Maximillian Importing (a GREAT parts place).

If you want the bumper, too, I would suggest waiting around for a wrecked M5 and swiping a used one. Otherwise, I've heard of people having good results with powdercoating their current bumper. Powdercoating lasts a lot longer than painting anyway.

Hope this helps,

By the way, thanks for the compliment! I love the 5 Series, too. My 528e was leased in May '87 by my dad, when I was 5. So, my car has a lot of sentimental value.

I just finished installing Bav Auto springs and Bilstein Sports, as well as doing the auto-to-manual conversion. It was a REAL pain and took a long time to do since I kept getting held up by not having certain parts when I needed them.

But, it's pretty much done. I have to drop the transmission AGAIN so that I can swap out shifting shafts (mine broke, dammit), and I have to remove the front right strut assembly to swap out the shock (the one in there is bad). But, other than that, the car's great. : -)

Drop me an E some time, and we can talk e28s.

Andre,

I saw those pictures on the Roadfly e30 board. Whose e28 is that?

By the way, I posted a lot of e28 pictures in the Rides forum:

I don't like the e39 M5 wheels on an e28 either. They look a little too weird.

The e34 M5 wheels, on the other hand, look awesome. Be it the M System wheels with the Throwing Star covers or the M-Parallels, e34 M5 wheels are some of my faves for an e28.

Pedro,

Yup, I post a good deal on Roadfly. I go by Shifty Brad in Louisiana on there.

My site is:

www.fatdaddybmw.com if you want to take a look at it.

E-mail me or PM me, whatever, doesn't make much difference. I'd love to help a fellow e28er :)

Thanks! The 5er Fest 2002 meet was the very first 5er Fest. It was put on my several e28 guys on the Roadfly board, and they worked their ASSES off getting it done. All I did was put the info on the site when they asked, including the 300+ pics I took there. It was awesome, we probably had 60 cars show up in the DFW area, and that's for the very first event! Some guys drove as far as Washington state to get there.

I have another meet I'll be going to in Dallas in about 3 weeks. I'll be sure to post the pics when they're up.

Oh, and BTW Terry: I wish I lived somewhere other than the south, too, because there aren't many Bimmer guys down here!! :)
