If you bring BMW from states does the 4 year maintenance still works here? I know warranty is honored but what about the maintenance? anyone knows?

You will not get free maintenance on an import.

Warranty has also been a question in the air.

New warranty is yes, CPO is tricky....

ThreadJack: Anyone know if CPO is covered?

Very sure it's NO on CPO.

The original 4 year or 80 000km warranty is good. The CPO is not, and you do not get the maintanance plan. My x5 is from the US, its a 06 with 30000km, so at least I still have the original warranty on it.

what is CPO?

I think CPO is the "Certified Pre-Owned" warranty.

It's basically a Certified Series Car, with warranty for 6 years from the in Service Date, or 160,000KM.

In the US, 6 Years from original in service date, or 100,000 miles

It's a major component warranty, and there is a $50 incident charge for each claim. It's a pretty good warranty to have.

I guess a good question to ask (especially in STALKERs case) is if the car has original warranty from the US (which is covered), can it be certified by a canadian dealer (once it is converted to canadian registration) when nearing the end of the factory warranty?

Only a dealer can add Certified Series warranty when the car is sold. I don't think you can add that BMW Warranty unless you trade in the car, have the dealer put it on, and sell it back to you (plus some fees). :)
