Someone enlighten me about the two please...
I got to drive the S5 today from Pffaf @ jane/rutherford, and this thing is unbelievable in every way..
But I still don't know too much about it other than the hp figures and the price..
How would one compare it driving with the 335i...

Im kind out of of the car loop lately!

Any help would be appreciated!
Looking for 1/4 mile times, track times, and anything else that might help...

PS- I like this car WAY better than the 335!

Thanks for the video!
Too bad theres no interior shots of how nice the S5 interior is, but regardless, both are great cars..

New m3 will be a hell of a lot more $ than an S5 tho...

The dealer said A5 will be out in a few months and its about $40k or so

How can you say 0-60 is the same, then completely flip sides and say that the M3 is faster due to RWD? Which facts are you quoting? You confuse me.

Dan, S5 is really nice, interior is way better than the 335, but I would say exterior styling goes to the 335. The S5 looks great now, but after I saw about 3-4 of them in Germany, it wasn't so crazy looking anymore. Once you get used to it, the styling gets blander.

Out of the box, S5 should be faster. But if you're planning to mod, 335 with a chip will probably blow the S5 out of the water. I also think that pricing of the S5 may be higher than the 335. Only way to find out is to wait till it's available here.

According to 5th gear. S5 is faster off the line, but 335 beats it around the track:

according to this website, the S5 will cost 12 grand more than 335i.

S5 is definitely a beautiful car. But every time I see the back of it I always think E92. And running low 12sec with just a chip in a 335i I would be leaning towards 335i, but still, it's a hard decision to make.
Dan, no matter whichever you choose, you will end up with an amazing car.

for that price you could pick up a 335i hard top cabrio. Personally, I'd go with the 335 in that case.

List price is $65,900 CAD, but if you want one in the states, it is listed at $50,500 USD.

I know you said you arent buying one Dan, but if you know someone looking, take it stateside. Savings of $15,000.
