Still have some tuning issues with my car. Running a bit lean at idle and I found out that my tuning is only to 6250rpm some I have some more power to gain up top as you can see by the dyno its still climbing.

Last time I put down 292.6hp and 254.8trq. After some head scratching I did the following:

- changed plug to another set and regapped smaller (step colder plugs)
- new igniton coils from Bavarian Autosport
- changed cats
- new fuel filter
- oil change

I think the coils and plugs where the huge difference so make sure everyone checks them when going force induction. I am changing the DME soon and going to re flash my chip that sound be good for another 10-15 rwhp for sure so this is my dyno yesterday. Much much better run. Gain from last time of 25.7rwhp and 20.4 rwtrq !!!

Is that Stage I C38 kit? If it is, those are really good numbers.

Yup it is the stg 1 kit right now. Still some tuning needed to be done which will for sure yeild another 10 whp so when all is said and done I want to be at 330 hopefully. Then off to Stg 2 which I will hopefully see in the 380-390 if I am lucky for once maybe a 400whp with headers

I beat on a E46 M3 on the 407 as well on my way home. He was playing with me didnt do a thing to egde him on until I got fed up and dropped it into 3rd and fed him 4 car at the end of 4th. It was classic he pulled up beside me and it looked like he saw a ghost. Another mark for me

Nice numbers! Do BMW trannys and diffs hold up well when boosted?
I am looking at the twin screw SC from ESS for next year...

Great job, can't wait to see this beast at the local (summer) meets. Just make sure you have an extra belt with you. They tend to go sooner then later.

The biggest problem on E36 is diff mount. You might either rip entire subframe from the floor or you will break diff mount bolts.
That can happen without any power addons.

Thanks !!

If it's US Spec M3, then it's the same tranny as your stock one.

My car was a 328 when I start so it was a getrag not a ZF. I agree must reienforce the subframe as I did. Completely reienforced rear end I mean everything.

vlad's right, 328/m3 have the same tranny

fantastic numbers george.

i can't believe that's with a redline of 6250. if you rev that motor up to 7K, you'll be making at least 15 more horse. Something tells me they'll be getting even higher very soon.

He'll probably be around 345 ponies @7K if the motor cranks out 260 ft-lbs at that rpm. And if it maintains around 275 ft-lbs, it will be:

(275 * 7000)/5252 = 366 hp

Thanks for the input Mark. Long time no talk. I cant wait to see the results I will keep everyone posted. I sent off my DME and chip plus my new DME to AA so they said they will tune it to the T or they wont sent it back !!! I cant wait to see the final numbers. For stage 1 I am really impressed with these numbers. I can see myself hitting 400whp with stage 2 and headers next year hopefully. As soon as I get my tune back I am going to dyno again to see where I stand. I will keep you all posted

wow. that is nuts. Also, that's a very logical way of calculating HP, i should've thought of that.

I go to Tag in Oakville. Mel is the guys name is very fair with prices. We and another buddy went together last time and he charged us 140 3 pulls each which is really good. I dont think he will do that for anyone but its around that price. Also there is a place near Bimmersport dont know what its called but now you have options

Question: What are the RPM increments on the bottom, what did you cut out at?

Nice numbers.

Question: What are the RPM increments on the bottom, what did you cut out at?

Well my car cut out at 6200 because it was in limp mode. I have a bit of wiring to do to fix that but my tune is set up to go to 6880rpm. I know its a weird number and your thinking why not 7000rpm. Its a safety precaution not to over boost and harm the blower or engine

Thanks bro. I still have some ponies to squeeze out still. I am hoping to see 340 to the wheels after I install headers and get my wiring issue fixed. I think that maybe enough for now or is it. LOL
