Hey my obc is starting to be in pretty bad shape with the pixels going out. I know this is a really common problem and i have found a pretty good DIY on the internet. I was wondering how many people have tried to fix their and how many people have bin succesful?
If there is anyone around the windsor or chatham area who knows how to do this speak up and maybe we can work something out.

I've done it but it came back worst than ever. Had
I used a better or different type of tape it might have been better.
I'm willing to try it again, it was cheap and it did work for a while.

Well, it can't get worst. Seriously, it takes all of 15 minutes.
I hear 18 button OBC's don't get any dead pixels... /insert envy emoticon

hmmm i tried it when i first got my car...it didn't make every single pixel light up, but it did work better for a while. Over the summer it stopped working altogether though....

damn i'm really undecided on this...sounds like just a temporary fix that has a good chance to wreck the whole thing?

If you're careful, you'll be fine. I had it apart a few times to test it out. At worst you won't be able to read it, not too different from now anyway.
Just go do it!
